Explanation

The deck keeps its long, curved, street-born shape and loses everything else. It reads as an X-ray panel, a specimen plate, a fragment of scientific imaging. The flowers hang suspended in a silvered space, forced into another register of seeing.

Flowers are among the most culturally overburdened symbols of colour, softness and decorative pleasure. Drained into greys, whites, blacks and metallic reflection, they deny the viewer the easy satisfaction of floral beauty.
